ABORIGINAL ADVENTURE TOURS
Edziza Trails provides authentic aboriginal adventure tours. The centre piece of the aboriginal experience is the telling of Tahltan stories of creation, respect and kinship on the land near where most of the stories take place. The stories are told along the trail and during the evening around the campfire followed by discussion so clients can get a sense of the Indigenous world views. The stories allow persons to be immersed in the spiritual essence of the land as we travel, eat, live and sleep on the land.
Tahltan land is magical, it is rugged and remote and is a high value destination. It is located in the Stikine area of northwest B.C. and is known for scenic and wildlife viewing with almost non-existent industrial development. The land also is interwoven with high Tahltan cultural values, one must be tuned into this as Tahltans have a minimal foot print on the land.

For a full Tahltan experience the suggested learning approach is:
- bring a journal to write your thoughts while on the expedition
- during the evenings find an isolated spot away from camp to go on a solo to self-reflect and mediate
- story telling along the trails and campfire followed by a facilitated discussion
- story boards and maps to facilitate discussions on a range of subjects from Tahltan history, geology and ecology of the Stikine, colonization, de-colonization, aboriginal rights and title and aboriginal issues.
- teaching points on the land along the trail; this would include Tahltan history, geology and ecology of the Stikine.
