W.I.L.D ™ is Wholistic Indigenous Leadership Development ™, it is a unique Indigenous leadership development approach offered by Curtis Rattray of Edziza Trails. The leadership development approach is based on aboriginal culture and values. It is a unique leadership development program designed for current and emerging leaders from the corporate, non-profit and First Nations communities. WILD ™ has the following leadership development programs:

Who Should Attend?
W.I.L.D ™ is designed for businesses, mining companies, community service organizations, government agencies, NGOs and not-for-profit organizations that are facing modern leadership challenges. Specifically, those who intend to develop a partnership/relationship with First Nations or are interested in enhancing a current partnership/relationship with First Nations.
W.I.L.D ™ has a program for First Nations leaders and communities who have sovereignty and self-determination as goals.
The W.I.L.D ™ program will also benefit companies that seek different approaches to problem solving in a fast changing world. Those individuals and organizations that need to think ‘outside the box’ and find creative solutions for their unique challenges.
Individuals who participate will advance their understanding of First Nations issues, worldviews, and perspectives as well as benefit from the outdoor leadership and team work component.
The goals of the program are to learn, practice and implement key Indigenous leadership and cultural concepts and ideas that business, social development, not-for-profit leaders can immediately apply in their day-to-day leadership activities.
The Training Approach
W.I.L.D ™ training approach is in an indoor or outdoor sessions. The indoor setting is in the boardroom / classroom / community hall with a power point presentation. The indoor approach is structured in single or multiple training day blocks, spread over a number of months and is tailored to your specific organization scheduling needs
W.I.L.D ™ in the outdoor setting is in the remote and rugged mountains of Tahltan Territory in northwest BC. These are 5 day leadership campouts or 7 day leadership expeditions.

Leadership Campout Sessions
The leadership campout sessions are conducted from a rustic base camp east of Dease Lake and travel to and from will be in a Polaris Ranger Crew that seats 5 plus the driver or by backpacking. The outdoor leadership sessions will be daily hikes to land features to illustrate teaching points, story telling, facilitated fireside, trailside, and story board discussions.
The campsites are designed for rustic comfort, safety, and as an outdoor classroom. Participants will be assigned camp chores and Edziza Trails will not provide the food or cooking services, this is the responsibility of the camp participants.
